Go somewhere that is highly public. A park filled with people near shops is a perfect place as is an art gallery.

pay attention to all that you see in front of you PLUS what you see in your periphery.

Now . . . pay attention only to the COLOURS . . . nothing else . . . do NOT pay attention to the lines, details . . . only notice the world at it's most elemental form . . . masses of COLOUR . . .

And notice how beautiful it is to see it this way.
